About the Talk
As part of the exhibition "Afterimage," OMIC Cultural Hub presents Emirati Visions: A Conversation on Video Art — a screening and panel discussion exploring video art in the UAE. Panelists Dr. Nujoom Alghanem and Khalil Abdulwahid join moderator Valentina della Rocca to discuss their work, followed by an open Q&A and a closing screening of a three-work playlist.

Nujoom Al Ghanem
Emirati visual artist, poet, and multi-award-winning film director with eleven poetry collections and over twenty films. Represented the UAE at the Venice Biennale in 2017 and 2019.

Khalil Abdulwahid
Contemporary Emirati visual artist spanning painting, video art, and mixed media, trained under the late Hassan Sharif. Work shown in Abu Dhabi, Berlin, and the United States.
